August 19, 2008 Meeting
Important dates to remember all squads:
Uniforms will be distributed to those registered beginning on August 20, 2008 during the regular practice.
Joe Corbi’s pizza fundraiser is due August 21, 2008. If fundraiser was not completed $90.00 (sweat suit snacks, and banquet fees) is due on August 21st.
Joe Corbi’s pizza fundraiser pick-up will be September 3, 2008 at Benjamin Stoddert.
NO PRACTICE ON THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 4TH.
PRACTICE WILL ON FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 5TH.
First regular season football game will be Saturday, September 6th. The schedules won’t be available until Friday, September 5th, parents please make sure you coaches have a contact number for you.
On September 25th, 2008 $64.00 is due for (shoes and two (2) competition fees)
Pictures will be October 10, 2008. Location TBA. Homecoming is Saturday, October 11, 2008 at Potomac High School all day.
There will be a tryout on September 24, 2008, location TBA. No cheerleader is guaranteed to go to competition.
We will be attending a Cheerleading Skills and Safety Clinics on Sunday, October 12, 2008- 12:30-4:30 pm. Location TBA.
Competition dates:
· On Sunday, November 2, 2008 the Annual PGCBGC Competition will be at The University of Maryland, Cole Field House, College Park, MD
· Additionally, we will be participating in the All Capital Spirit Competition (located at the PG Sports and Learning Complex in Landover, MD) and the Friendly High Battle of the Recs (at Friendly High School) during November of 2008.
· On Saturday, February 28, 2009, we hope to participate in our first National Competition: The Reach the Beach Rec and School Open Nationals in Ocean City, MD at the Ocean City Convention Center.

Cheer at scrimmage Saturday, August 30, 2008 at Peppermill. Time TBA
Captain tryouts will on September 5, 2008.
Tumbling classes start on Monday, September 8th, 6-7 pm at Cheer Connection 7201 Old Alexandria Ferry Road, Clinton, MD 20735 301-856-3800. Total cost is $100 for September and October. $50 is due on September 5, 2008 for the first month. $50 is due on October 2, 2008 for the second month.
